Google has done it again…they recently launched and app called Google Opinion Rewards that gives people rewards for answering survey questions. Google is tapping into their customer base and once again finds a niche where there is a need and figures out how to monetize it. They are gathering even more information about their customers and have figured out how to incentivize people to easily give it up. I think that there is a huge need for the ability to tap into a very specific demographic and run surveys. There are several companies that do this currently (survey monkey, etc) but they are expensive and limited. Google currently does provide this service, and probably do the best job out there for users to drill down on the specific demographic they would like to survey, but it is super expensive. I hope that to be on the surveying end they make this a more user friendly and accessible service. They certainly have the best pool of users and it would be great to be able to tap into them more easily.
