Digital Advertising Fraud > Credit Card Fraud

 With a rise in competition for digital ad space, the dollar volume of digital advertising fraud has officially surpassed credit card fraud, sparking the need for a deeper look into what is happening. Given the relatively new nature of digital advertising, one might say that there remains a lot of grey space in regards to what is legal and what is not when it comes to digital ads. However, the fraudulent acts that are called out are those that specifically disregarding current laws, regulations, and/or advertising platform policies. While these may be intentional or not, the rise in regulations makes it more and more crucial that companies get creative on how to increase their presence alongside their competitors. However, with creativity comes a risk of either facing a current regulation or prompting the creation of a new one.
