Chatroulette turns to the Napster to filter the Wanksters

Up to a million people are signing onto Chatroulette a day, but the site as a pernicious side to it. Namely the problem of men exposing themselves to strangers with an alarming frequency.
In order to improve the image of the site, and give it the potential of going more mainstream, the founder Andrey Ternovskiy has been working with Shawn Fanning, aka The Napster aka the bane of the entire music industry.
According to an article on TechCrunch Chatroulette will soon release an auto penis detector to prevent users from being exposed to being.. exposed. The technology will likely use facial recognition technology to scan for eyes and prompt the user if the chat image looks suspicious. Although the name is not yet determined, one commenter suggested The C-ckblocker.

While I'm writing this post, I signed onto chatroulette for the first time. Sure enough, I saw the following:
  1. A creepy guy about my age staring back at me (oops that's me)
  2. A mustached guy doing something with the monitor
  3. A girl drinking a milkshake
  4. A guy masturbating
  5. Another dark room
  6. A guy's abdomen,
  7. Another guy masturbating
  8. Me turning the laptop around to show this to my roommates

So it appears that the site lives up to the hype, and perhaps the hype is bringing all the perverts out of the woodwork to work on their wood.

Lets hope the Napster can get the blocker up and running soon.

Sweet!
It is fun how we both posted on the same topic in two different websites!
Anyway...I have some creative ideas on how to use the "recognize what is in the video" techniques to enhance people's eXXXperience on the web...but I guess they are not suitable for these pages :)

good job!
