Safari 5 and its new extensions: Gmail Checker

Since long ago I have used Safari as my default browser and once again, Apple, in its recent myriad of product launches, has come up with Safari 5. This product includes the use of extensions, which are small program additions to the browser that really make your life so much easier. They are very easy to download and they will install automatically with a couple of clics.

One of my favorite ones is Gmail Checker. If you use a lot gmail (which I think most of you probably do), you will find it very useful. It is a button in the browser that allows you to check your email permanently without having to open a new gmail webpage. It does so by showing a red balloon whenever you have new mail. When you click on it, it takes you to your gmail account where you can read or answer the incoming mails.
