We've all heard how Zappos has a unique company culture that focuses on customer service (365 day returns) and employee happiness (paying for 100 percent of health care premiums). It seemed that selling to Amazon was selling out ... a way to save the company from its high expenses during the recession. However, Hsieh tries to correct misperceptions by writing an article in Inc.
Although the article talks about how Amazon will leave Zappos' culture alone ... I doubt it'll stay exactly the same.
