The company was founded in September 2009 by Maggie Nemser, the Food Editor at Yahoo!, and Dany Levy, founder of Daily Candy. Other key staff members include editors from Gourmet Magazine and food.com. The company convinces restaurants to offer exclusive discounts to its subscribers, and in turn drives healthy business and new traffic to featured restaurant. Subscribing to the site and receiving coupons is completely free and it will continue to be free as the company has no plans to monetize by charging its subscribers for coupons. Therefore, feel free to check out the website and sign up for the service. Enjoy.
A blog for students of Professor Kagan's Digital Marketing Strategy course to comment and highlight class topics. From the various channels for marketing on the internet, to SaaS and e-commerce business models, anything related to the class is fair game.

BlackboardEats.com
For our group project, our team did a write up on Blackboard Eats. Blackboard Eats is a start-up company that provides coupons to carefully-selected "foodie" restaurants in New York and LA in exchange for their customers' contact information. The site offers exclusive restaurant specials online and via e-mail newsletter distribution. Blackboard Eats also focuses on reviews and editorial content for featured restaurants, with commentary from top food editors.
