Marketers have long been courting Millenials, but this is a handy dandy list with some interesting numbers about what's important to them.
Some of the most interesting facts include:
- Only 31% said they want brands to create online content such as videos, photos, games and blogs.
- Only 3% cited advertising is boring.
But the bottom line is Millenials really want brands to entertain them and have very high expectations of how brands can help them!
- 77% said they want brands to provide provide assistance through grants and scholarships
- 75% cited the opportunity for brands to enable more life experiences.
- 65% want brands to behave as a mentor that can help guide them
This is quite a lot to ask from brands! I'll be interested to see if brands can live up these high expectations of the next generation. Perhaps it means brands should stop worrying so much about creating viral videos and focus on their social efforts!
