News Corp announced it would close down its iPad-only magazine, The Daily (http://bit.ly/QCCxT0)
It's pretty clear that print media is dying, but News Corp's experience with The Daily suggests that mobile/tablet media isn't necessarily the answer, especially when there is an incredibly strict paywall. My guess is that the NYTimes has a decent approach to the industry... a combination of traditional/print and online supported by ads and subscribers.
