Facebook's first ad

As Facebook reaches 1 billion users, its marketing team partnered with Wieden & Kennedy (they also did "Write the Future" for Nike and "The man your man could smell like" for P&G amongst others) to create their first ad: an emotional portrail of "things that connect". While the budget for this ad is very large, it's getting a lot of mixed reviews. Plus, will this be the new way to promote Facebook?
