Google is launching an AdWords credit card for SMBs to help boost online advertising spend. This idea was originally rolled out as a pilot program for 1,400 small businesses, and will now be fully launched in the UK and the US.
Google derives most of its profit from advertising and its advertising profits are up 21% from last year (Q2'12- Q2'11). Rates on the new cards will be lower than those of basic credit cards and Google will not charge an annual fee.
