Consumer Engagement for Restaurants

This article points to a growing trend among consumers in the fiercely competitive restaurant industry. With multiple demand trends going against traditional restaurants (rise of delivery, start ups that enable home cooking, etc.) it is very important for restaurants to engage with customers in ways they haven't before. This includes digital marketing methods via apps to engage customers (even entertain them) and encourage them to use mobile ordering and loyalty programs. Both of these strategies have demonstrated to be highly effective in retaining customers and repeat business.
