Compete.com Study on Search, Rankings, and where Consumers actually click

A new study reinforces much of what we've been discussing in class with up to date numbers. From focusing efforts on organic rather than paid search, to the importance of the top ranking organic search result, it turns out that everything we already knew to be important, is in fact more important than before. Of particular note is the screen comparison of where banner ads appear vs where consumers actually click - here it looks as though there is still room to improve site design to maximize consumer appeal and click through.
