Amazon changed retailing when its price check app was released on Andriod - the most commonly used operating system - last year. Brick & mortar stores reluctantly acknowledged that show rooming was here to stay.
Now this year, stores are battling Amazon with their own apps, designed to keep a share of the wallet in house. They have recognized the new reality of anytime, anywhere retail.
