Facebook Makes A Huge Data Grab By Promoting Photo Sync
Facebook just quietly launched Photo sync cloud. This will allow them to to increase the amount of photos you can upload at a time ( they currently recieve over 300 million photos a day that users upload).
This photo sync will store all your
images in what’s essentially free storage space of up to 2GB and push them public when you so choose want one.
Facebook had users sign up by posting a banner atop the the news feed
of its iOS and Android apps which could easily get tens of millions of users
to enable photo sync. If its competitors in social networking and now
cloud storage don’t realize what’s happened, they won’t be able to
react. But Facebook just found a way to to get its next 219 billion
photos a lot faster than the first.
