Having said that, the increasingly improved quality of smartphone cameras, mobile photo-editing capabilities, as well as the explosion of social media have definitely led to an exponential increase in the number of photos shot in the world. 300 million photos are uploaded daily on Facebook, which currently has 10,000 more photos stored than the library of Congress! 70% of Facebook activity revolves around photographs, while 7.3 million users actively use Instagram every day.
