Holiday Season Boosts Digital Retail Sales
US retailers with online presence expect over half of their holiday sales to come in through digital channels this coming holiday season - with 51% coming from ecommerce and about 6% to come in through mcommerce (mobile commerce).
In addition to being good for retailers, the holiday season also is great for ad networks because there is typically an increase in traffic and clickthrough rates. Jumptap, a mobile ad network, expects an 11% increase in traffic to mobile ads and a 3% increase in CTR versus off-season averages.
